I've encountered a few more jerks over the last few days. I have been trying to sell Kepkhets Refuge. Unfortunately I am considering no longer adding "whisper offer" at the end of the WTS line because I have had several people whispering 500g or 400g to me. Infact just yesterday I said I was selling it for 8k and some guy whispered me saying "lol its worth 400g".

Today I noticed some guy in LA spamming something like 'i have just been scammed, please can someone give me 12k' which is kinda stupid (though unfortunately people can and do fall for it) because most of the time, if a person is scammed, they will say 'insertnamehere is a scammer!!' etc, and not ask others for gold.

lol i was in team arenas with some guildies and thse noobs kept cusn me out and stuff and they were like aww were gunna kick ur ass u bunch of RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOn noobs.
and we were in the death match where most kills wins and no one ahd killed each other and we were in over time. and i was usn a running trapper ranger and well i ran past them cause they were standing there. they casted there hexes on me then the rest of my team spike one of them. well nedless to say we killed one of there members and they lost

so i said in reply take that u noob ass mother RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOers (givn thema taste of there own medicine) well one guy (the one who started cussn me out) reported me for abusive language so i got a 24 hour ban umm yeah nex tiem i see him im gunna spike him with my own special build

Biggest jerk ever nearly destroyed my guild. I was promoted to officer by the guy who recruited me, because he wanted to leave the guild and join somewhere else. Well me not being highly experienced I just kept my mouth shut and kept playing. We weren't a highly active guild just played for fun really. Anyway this newer member that was on one day asked me how he could become an officer. I basically said it took time and to talk to the leader of the guild (no one else was online), so he begged me and told me he knew the leader and ran with him everyday. So me not really knowing anyone in the guild I didn't wanna tell this guy to f' off because what if he really knew the leader? So I said screw it he's just a retard, made him officer so he would shut up, and under his word he knew the leader, and told him not to kick anyone.

I login one day, all the members are gone and so is the dude who I promoted. I knew exactly what happened. No one else was online, but the guild was basically nuked. The next day was when the econ crashed and there was a rollback, so no one could get on. When the servers came up I hopped on and was no longer in the guild. Shot a PM to the leader who I knew kicked me and he was upset and knew I promoted that guy. He was nice and I explained it all, let me back in, made me officer and we now have more members than ever, and they are nice people. Took a lot of recruiting to get a guild again and like 4 officers left the guild from what happened. That guy was the biggest jerk ever.

Well, my boyfriend and me wanted to do a little trapping in the UW. We got an invite from two other ranger, just perfect. I of course asumed the two knew each other. I talked a bit with one of them and was certain he knew what he was doing.
We went in, casted our ghost. Just to have them recasted be the other (only female) Ranger.

She claimed she didn't notice you ghost. Oh well, strange, but it might happen. After the first 2 groups I noticed her zephyr only lasted 17 sek. that means she only had one point in survival.

We questioned her about it, and I noticed the other guy didn't knew her after all. Well, we asked if she was new to it, or had skilled wrong, but she just wouldn't answer. She said the had a point with it, but wouldn't tell what it was. Said she'd be in UW 20 times. Besides that she generally wasn't saing much, and spent too much time just standing there doing nothing.
We where still doing quite well, but the leader left shortly after the labyrinth.

I'm not quite sure if she was a real jerk, or just someone to ashamed to admit she skilled wrong, but the whole thing was quite strange.

I've been giving my healer monk quite a workout lately in UW, FoW, and Tombs PvE. I've been in the mood to help out groups the past week or so. Trying to meet some new people because I want to join a serious guild by the time Chapter 2 comes out. I've about had it with PUGs I think, and want to get into PvP as well. Last night I joined a PUG Underworld group in ToA. One of our party members was a really annoying W/R who wasn't worth his weight in granite slabs.

First off, when the party leader asked for 125g for entry fees this W/R quickly retorted with, "Why did you set up a party in the first place if you couldn't afford it?" I was like, "Oh my god. Don't act like ToA groups being pay-per-person isn't the typical behavior." Yeah, sure you will often join a PUG whose leader just fronts the fee but that is no more common than pay-per-person. This exchange went on for about 1-2 minutes until the money was collected. The party leader only got 600g total from other party members but went in anyway. Immediately after spawning in the UW I was like, "I bet <annoying W/R loser> didn't even pay. Naturally, his response: "Of course I didn't."

This guy never shut up for about the 10 minutes I was in the PUG with him. Not much more to report than that on our UW party story. You see, this Warrior cared more about acting like a complete ass than actually setting up a wall with the other Warrior in our party (Attacking Aatxes from the BACK while they were attacking a caster? GREAT! Not only did you let an Aatxe get by, you didn't even cut them off.). We got wiped out at the very first mob -

- because the warriors were running around scared, in opposite directions, out of healing range. After this happened, our undisputable best GW player ever W/R says, "by god, what are our monks doing?" You see, I was trying to heal, but it gets hard when Warriors are running SCARED in opposite directions, OUT of healing range, from the first Aatxes they've probably ever seen. When the Warriors are up the stairs and the Aatxes are down by the UW spawn point it's kind of hard to care about the headless chicken warriors, right? I reply with, "everyone was running around out of healing range, and left a direct path right to the healers.", which was true. Push came to shove because our lovely W/R thought this wasn't a sufficient explanation, and I just say, "alright, we all know <annoying W/R loser> is god's gift to Guild Wars. I bet he can even heal the party better than I can." With that, I just left. We were about dead anyways (last guy was on the verge of death) so it wasn't like /ragequit or anything like that.

Now for the fun part. I'm sitting in ToA afterwards and <annoying W/R loser> starts whispering me and insulting me left and right. Now, I'm all for a good trash-talking sequence, but not when the other guy is set to 'Do Not Disturb' and I can't even talk back. (Side note: I love how he can whisper me and STILL have 'Do Not Disturb' turned on. Nice freakin' job on the whisper system, ANet!!!!!!) He kept whispering me for about 3-4 minutes, with every junior-high comment he could think of. (Something about penis removal? WTF?) I was busy organizing my storage and buying stuff from merchant so I couldn't be bothered to put him on ignore or set my status to 'Do Not Disturb' as well. He eventually got bored or his mother called him upstairs for his bedtime bath or something. Who knows?

The biggest jerk I have seen was on a Oro Farming run in Sorrow's Forge. He was the SS and he kept running into groups of the enemy in front of the warrior and I(the healing monk)had to spend all of my energy healing him until all of us died. He promptly blamed me and then continued to whisper me for half an hour complaining how much I suck and how I didn't even know how to have 3 Elite skills equipped at once. It's because of children like him that I do not play on the weekends since the punk teens are playing and ruining the game for everyone.

A good example of weekend children is this afternoon. A kid was selling Malinon's crappy no one wants it hammer Skull Crusher hammer and I told him there is someone that will buy it for 1K in the War Camp. I offered to save him hours of futility trying to sell that hammer for 15K when it's worth about 3 and his response is "go F*** yourself you god**** c***suc*ing mother F***ing pile of ****, either buy the hammer or F*** your mother. Damn stupid noob, this hammer is a green, it's worth at least F***ing 20K"

Yeah they should change that, and now only the 'do not disturb' but also the 'ignore' function. They should implement a system whereby when a jerk uses do not disturb, or the ignore function, then they automatically cannot send or recieve messages from that player / other players.

All too often I've had jerks give some big insult or try to get the last word in, and its annoying when I've tried to reply, only to get "this player is ignoring you".

Early in GW; my first guild. We had a semi-Napoleonic officer in the guild who sometimes “shared” an account with his little brother. You know the type: his greatest accomplishment in life was beating Hell’s Precipice before you did and he takes great pains to remind you that he has played the game longer than anyone else in the guild. He spends more time typing instructions to the team than he does actually using skills, and blames anyone but himself for death/failure of his strategy or character.

One day I come on, newb that I am, and find myself promoted to officer…along with everyone else. One of our officers is under attack form Napoleon (no, that’s not his name or anywhere close) and a few others. It seems that Napoleon’s little brother had gotten into an argument with several guild members and tried the trick posted above: deleting all non-officers from the guild.

The other officer saved the day, promoting everyone to officer and removing the younger brother’s ability to destroy the guild.

Now I name Napoleon the jerk for 2 reasons:
First, I doubt there actually was a kid brother. Probably just an excuse for those days when he was really playing badly (there were more than a few).
Second, for what they were arguing about. The second officer, the one whose quick thinking had just saved the guild, was under a firestorm of flames from this guy and a few others (mostly jackals smelling blood) for his reaction. He’d just saved the guild a few plat by preventing a mass exodus of players on the whim of a jerk, and he gets trashed for it. Napoleon had the gall to defend his “little brothers actions” with a flippant “I was in this guild from the start! I was the second person recruited; I built it and I’ll kill it if I want to!”

That is, of course, a wild paraphrasing. He spent most of his brain cells trying to subvert the language filter and set blame for the entire mess on the second officer.

Next day Napoleon was gone; self quit from the guild. But the Guild Leader laughed when he was told about the incident, saying that if he hadn’t gone on his own, he’d have been kicked out.

Not my biggest jerk story, but a recent one.

I was in hell's precipice the other day with a guildie and we were going to do a chest run. Then we got invited by a group and we thought "what the hey", we'll do the mission and get our chests.

I was the only monk and there were 5 Ws in the party, my friend was a R. Anway, we decided to go with just me as a monk. I've done HP as a solo monk before so I thought I'd give it a try again.

It was quite hard and 4-5 ppl died but we managed to kill about 4-5 groups of monsters so the mission was definitely doable from there. Now comes the jerk.

One of the Ws, he had died twice, started complaining that I wasn't healing him. He then spotted the fact that I used Orison and went completely berserk from there. He started calling me a noob, saying that no monk ever uses Orison and it's crap because it's one of the 1st spells monks get. I was too indignant to respond to this so I appealed to the rest of the group. My friend was of course on my side but it seemed nobody else was. They were all Wammos btw. He then started spamming about me being a noob. At this point I got pissed off and left with my friend.

He then started PMing me and continued to call me a noob and worse. the funniest snippet I'll give here,

Jerk: I'm just trying to help you out, so other ppl won't call u noob in the future

Anyway, sometimes I despair.

You need orison to heal yourself, and all the other spells to heal them. I am a lvl 19 and I still use it.
Sometimes it looks like healing spells have no effect, because you either get interrupted or the subject is taking damage at the same time. You heal for 80, aggro hits for 100. You saved that round, but he'll never know

Not a build descussion i know, but for my smite / heal build, i love orison and healing touch... extremely useful in my eyes, specialy in arenas, fast heals, no enchant to get taken off (breeze), and low eng to heal with.... but orison on others, healing touch for myself....

...so, Random Arena a little while back...
Our team is doing decently. So's the other one. Nice even match, lots of fun... even our wammo was doing great. Our opponents got ahead of us, a bit, and one by one our teammates dropped. I resurrected our healer, who promptly died again. So my res sig was burned out.

Enemy warrior starts coming after me. I'm trying to kite, thinking I can turn around, use Hunter's Shot and set him bleeding, if I time it right.
Doesn't work. I figure that either the warrior or the other team's ranger (holding back for no obvious reason) is going to win out in the end, anyway, so I say t'heck with it, use Troll Unguent and whip out every attack I can.

In the midst of this:
Wammo: res me! felx res me now (My ranger's name was/is Felix)
Me: No response.
Wammo: res me noob
Wammo: rezzzz

Regardless, I died once their ranger started attacking again. But I managed to survive their warrior a decent length of time, too... better lucky than good, or something.
GGs all around. But before we return to the arena...

Wammo: noob! noob felix1! (complete with the number 1)
Me: What?
Our Healer: ?
Our Necro: shut up.
Wammo: you all suk
Healer: Yes, please shut up.
Wammo: you didn res me liek you wer told to! Go-Red-Engineing noob

Me, giving up: Whatev, kid...
Wammo: this hole team red-engining sux

Back to the arena. I have no problem with him coming after me, but the rest of the team did magnificently... and so he gets mad at me and takes it out on them. NOT fair.

This is a note worthy jerk of poor sportsmanship in GvG, its people like this that don’t make the game any fun. Made us fight even harder to waste their time even more.

Not the biggest jerk I've ever met but the most recent..

After disrupting his phantom pain, fragility and virulence then watching him fall to the ground in about 10seconds flat he sends me a nice PM.

The biggest Irony in this is he/she was using an fragility mesmer
